Privacy Policy
Your privacy and the confidentiality of your coaching information is paramount to us. Here's how we protect and manage your data.
What Information We Collect
During Coaching
When you sign up for coaching, we collect your name, email, and coaching package details. During sessions, we take confidential notes about your coaching goals, concerns, and progress—purely to support your coaching journey.
On Our Website
We use basic analytics to understand how visitors use our site (page visits, general location). This helps us improve the user experience. We do not track individual behavior or collect personal data from casual website visitors.
How We Store Your Information
Secure Cloud Storage
All client data is stored on Base44, a secure cloud platform with enterprise-grade encryption. Your information is protected both in transit (encrypted connections) and at rest (encrypted databases).
Access Controls
Only you and your coach (Lesley) have access to your confidential coaching information. We do not share your data with third parties without your explicit consent, except where legally required.
Backup & Recovery
Your data is automatically backed up to prevent loss. In the unlikely event of a system issue, we can restore your information securely.
Confidentiality & Privacy
Client Confidentiality
Everything discussed in your coaching sessions is strictly confidential. We will not share information about your coaching with your former partner, legal team, family members, or anyone else without your written permission.
Exceptions
The only exception to confidentiality is if we have reasonable cause to believe you or someone else is at immediate risk of harm, in which case we may disclose information to appropriate authorities.
Data Retention
We retain your coaching notes and profile information for as long as you are an active client, plus seven years afterward for legal and professional record-keeping purposes. You can request deletion of your data at any time, though we may retain certain information as required by law.
Recording Policy
Sessions may not be audio recorded by either the coach or the client under any circumstances. This policy protects the privacy, confidentiality, and emotional safety of both parties. Recording sessions without consent may violate privacy laws and is strictly prohibited.
Your Rights & Choices
Access Your Data
You have the right to know what information we hold about you. You can request a copy of your coaching notes and personal data at any time.
Correct or Delete
If you notice any inaccuracies in your profile or coaching notes, let us know and we'll correct them. You can also request deletion of your account and associated data.
Withdraw Consent
You can stop coaching at any time. If you choose to end the coaching relationship, we'll stop collecting new information, though we may retain existing notes for legal and professional reasons.
Payment Security & Stripe
Secure Payment Processing
All payments for coaching services are processed securely through Stripe, a Level 1 PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store, retain, or have access to your payment card information, bank details, or sensitive financial data at any time.
Payment Data Protection
Your payment information is encrypted and transmitted directly to Stripe's secure servers, where it is processed and protected according to industry standards. Stripe is responsible for securely handling and storing your payment data.
Your Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own financial information and account credentials. For more information about Stripe's security practices, visit https://stripe.com/en/security.
Legal & Compliance
GDPR & EU Data Protection
We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable EU data protection laws. European users have the right to request your data in a portable format (data portability), request deletion ("right to be forgotten"), and restrict processing. We will respond to valid requests within 30 days. If you have concerns about our data practices, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
CCPA & California Privacy Rights
For California residents, we comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). You have the right to know what personal information we collect, delete your personal information, opt-out of the sale of your data (which we do not practice), and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. To exercise these rights, please contact us at lesley@lamdivorcecoach.com. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We'll notify you of any significant changes via email.
