My Commitment to You

Code of Ethics

As a CDC® Certified Divorce Coach®, I am bound by — and deeply committed to — a rigorous professional code of ethics. These are not just rules I follow; they are values I hold at the core of every client relationship.

CDC® Certified Divorce Coach®

The CDC® program is the gold standard in divorce coach training. Certification requires completing an intensive training program, demonstrating core competencies, and committing to a strict code of professional ethics. I am proud to uphold these standards in every aspect of my practice.

Professional Conduct

I uphold the highest standards of professional conduct in every client interaction.

I present myself as a CDC® Certified Divorce Coach® and accurately represent my qualifications, experience, and competencies.

I do not misrepresent myself as an attorney, therapist, mediator, or financial advisor.

I continuously pursue professional development to maintain and improve my coaching competencies.

I refer clients to other professionals when their needs fall outside the scope of divorce coaching.

Confidentiality

Your privacy is sacred. Everything shared in our sessions stays between us.

All information shared by clients is held in strict confidence and never disclosed without written consent.

Client records are stored securely and protected from unauthorized access.

Confidentiality extends beyond the coaching relationship — I do not discuss clients with others.

The only exceptions are where required by law, such as imminent risk of harm to self or others.

Client-Centred Practice

Your goals, your pace, your journey. I am here to support — never to direct or judge.

I respect each client's autonomy and right to make their own informed decisions.

I honor the client's values, beliefs, and perspectives without imposing my own.

I maintain a non-judgmental, compassionate space in which clients feel safe to explore their situation.

I tailor my approach to the unique needs and circumstances of each individual client.

Boundaries & Scope of Practice

I know where coaching ends and other professional services begin — and I always stay within my lane.

I clearly distinguish between coaching and legal, financial, therapeutic, or mediation services.

I do not provide legal advice, draft legal documents, or negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.

I do not offer tax or financial advice, and I do not recommend specific investments, tax strategies, or financial products.

I do not diagnose, treat, or counsel clients for mental health conditions.

I encourage clients to build a professional team — including attorneys, therapists, and financial advisors — as needed.

Integrity & Honesty

I am transparent, honest, and consistent in everything I do.

I am truthful about the coaching process, its potential benefits, and its limitations.

I do not make guarantees about outcomes, as results depend on each client's unique situation and engagement.

I disclose any potential conflicts of interest and take steps to address them.

I honor all commitments made to clients regarding session times, communication, and deliverables.

Ongoing Professional Development

I am committed to being the best coach I can be — for you and for every client I serve.

I maintain my CDC® Certified Divorce Coach® designation through continuing education and training.

I seek supervision and peer support to reflect on my practice and grow as a professional.

I am committed to understanding and addressing the impact of diversity, inclusion, and systemic issues on my clients' experiences.

Right to Decline or Terminate Coaching

I reserve the right to ensure the coaching relationship serves both of us well.

I reserve the right to decline, pause, or terminate a coaching relationship at any time, for any reason.

This includes situations where I determine that coaching may not be the appropriate support or where the coaching relationship is not a good fit for both parties.

The decision to work with a client, or to continue a coaching relationship, is at my sole discretion. I am not obliged to accept or continue working with any client.

Should I terminate the coaching agreement, a full refund will be issued for all unused sessions, calculated at the package rate per session.

This policy ensures that I can provide my best work and that each client receives the support that is right for their unique situation.

"My commitment to these ethical standards is not just a professional obligation — it is a personal one. You deserve a coach you can trust completely, and I take that responsibility seriously in every session, every interaction, and every step of your journey."
